Right from Jacki, the owner and maker of Rhymes with Orange, "The produce bags are made using cotton from India. I have a friend there who runs a textile company. All of their fabrics are hand stamped using natural inks. But when they get to the end of the bolts, because they usually sell in such large quantities, they used to just throw out the fabric. So we are able to divert those textiles from landfills and bring beautiful, one of a kind patterns to my business."

"The rest of my fabrics are sourced from a woman in Whitby. She buys up ends of lines so that they are not thrown away and then I am able to buy them from her."

"All of my scrap fabrics gets repurposed for smaller items, such as backers for my reusable pads and such. I try to create as little waste as possible in my production. Any textile waste I do produce, I am able to compost due to the organic nature of the materials."
